CETI started among a community of friends in Argentina. In the early 2010's we renewed and reenvisioned ourselves as CETI Continental, a community that serves the entire continent. Yet, up until recently, we have focused mostly on Latin America. This is still our primary context, the place where CETI was planted, grew, and started to bear fruit. But in recent years, we've seen how the CETI model can be planted in other soils to bear different kinds of delicious and unexpected fruit!
As an agile and innovative organization at the forefront of theological formation, we have had increasing opportunities in recent years to bring CETI's theological and educational model into other spaces. We've also had a number of our alumni take the CETI ethos into the creation of new communities, organizations, and programs. They may not be "CETI", but they are certainly ceti-like, or cetien ! Start here to learn about who CETI is and what we are doing in Latin America and beyond.
Our Programs
These popular-level programs are available to local study groups who, with the help of a facilitator, learn by sharing their own life experiences, exploring the Biblical text, and encountering the beliefs and practices of Christians in other epochs and Christian traditions. Organized around four areas of everyday life (work, family, society, and church), these programs transversally incorporate Bible study, Church history, theological traditions, and critical analysis of reality, so that students may be empowered to live out the gospel holistically in their contexts.
In Spanish, CETI offers certificates in Vida&Misión, Contracorriente, and el Arte de la Facilitación (for facilitators).
A historical version of the Vida&Misión certificate is also available in English for consultation with partners that wish to develop similar programs for their contexts.

Our open courses are crafted to explore the implications of our faith on contemporary or urgent contextual needs of communities in Latin America. A short and accessible study option, these courses allow students to explore diverse topics. They also provide a dynamic and innovative learning environment where emerging scholars can experiment and share their ideas.
Recent courses in Spanish include: Convivencia Ecológica Justa, Éxodos Modernos: Fe, Migración y Refugio, La Pedagogía de Jesús, and more...
We occasionally work with partners to design short courses and consultations (whether with closed audiences or open to the public) on desired topics in English.
Our graduate programs use a hybrid model, coupling virtual and in-person activities. They are characterized by a rich exchange of students from various professional and educational backgrounds and several countries. This exchange is carefully motivated and accompanied by our faculty who design activities and projects that transcend the virtual learning platform and send students into their cities so that they engage in theological dialogue with their context.
CETI only offers graduate programs in Spanish. We currently run a Master's program in Transformational Leadership in partnership with Bakke Graduate University. CETI is also designing a new graduate level diploma on Discipleship, Formation, and Transformation.

The Cátedra Caty y René Padilla (Caty and René Padilla Summit) is a regular conference that explores the contemporary implications of the pioneering work of Caty and René Padilla in the Latin American and international evangelical sphere, both in terms of reflection and practice. We aim to offer a space in which to continue cultivating and developing theological thought from and for Latin America, fomenting a supportive dialogical community, and promoting the practice of Integral Mission in faith communities across the continent.
