What is the Cátedra?
The Cátedra Caty y René Padilla (Caty and René Padilla Summit) is a regular conference that explores the contemporary implications of the pioneering work of Caty and René Padilla in the Latin American and international evangelical sphere, both in terms of reflection and practice. We aim to offer a space in which to continue cultivating and developing theological thought from and for Latin America, fomenting a supportive dialogical community, and promoting the practice of Integral Mission in faith communities across the continent.
The Second Caty and René Padilla Summit, organized by the Comunidad de Estudios Teológicos Interdisciplinarios (CETI), is rooted in the belief that, at this decisive moment for Latin America and the world, our missional communities have something vital to offer: a way of spiritually forming leaders that embody and proclaim the Kingdom of God and its justice from the ground up, rooted in lived reality and open to hope.
In a context shaped by social fragmentation, polarization, precarious labor conditions, and ecological breakdown, there is a pressing need to discern how to live out and announce the Kingdom with creativity, compassion, and faithfulness, nurturing leaders committed to justice, mercy, and abundant life.
The Summit will offer a collaborative learning space where theological reflection, integral mission, and spiritual formation meet. This is an open invitation to join us in exploring pathways toward formation for prophetic presence throughout our region.
Who is the event for?
This event is for the strengthening of the whole Church. Therefore, we invite leaders in churches, local communities, mission agencies, nonprofits, and academic institutions. We welcome anyone who seeks to live out God's integral mission in all spheres of life.
When and where is the event?
The second Summit will take place in the Casa de Encuentros De La Salle in Rionegro, Antioquía, Colombia from the 12th to the 15th of March, 2026.

Costs
The Summit includes all meals from lunch on March 12th through breakfast on March 15th, as well as lodging on the nights of March 12th, 13th, and 14th. It does not include transportation to and from the airport.
- $200 USD food and lodging (shared room)
- $300 USD food and lodging (individual room)
- Plus $25 to $200 USD (registration fee varies depending on income)
